Beautiful Handmade New Lander Turquoise Oval Sterling Silver Ring Size 6

Stone:
This rounded stamped overlay sterling silver ring features a super rare grade AAA light blue New Lander turquoise stone with a brown and dark blue matrix.

New Lander Turquoise is in fact a form of chalcosiderite rather than turquoise but it is considered a type of turquoise because of the similarity of it to the lander blue turquoise. After polishing, it usually shows black spider web matrix on yellow orange and green chalcosiderite. Today, jewelry makers are seeking after real new lander material because of it's thin black matrix as opposed to typical coarsely webbed material.

Artist:
Bobby Johnson is longtime Navajo silversmith. He was born in Church Rock, New Mexico. He learned the tricks of the trade from his brothers and sisters who were master silversmiths. He began to silversmith in the early 1970's and his passion for the craft has led him to create amazing jewelry throughout the years.

My Philosophy:
I choose every piece of jewelry based on the value of the stone. Unlike most of the Turquoise on the market, the stone has to be high quality (not stabilized, not color treated and not reconstituted).
I also love jewelry with unique character and great craftsmanship. What this means is that you are getting jewelry that is a showstopper and not to mention a great investment.
