These earrings are handmade and hand casted using many mini carico lake cabochons. Making these earrings is very labor intensive. I only get to find them occasionally as the artists make only a few in a year.

Carico Lake turquoise range from beautiful shades of blue to lime green. The lime green color is due to the high levels of faustite and zinc. Although blue turquoise is the majority produced, in recent years lime green has been most valued for its rarity and unique color.

The Carico Lake Turquoise Mine is a historic mine named for its home on a dried up lake bed located in Lander County, Nevada. Due to the short amount of time it's allowed to be mined each year, the supply of Carico Lake Turquoise is extremely limited.

Due to its increased interest and limited supply, Carico Lake turquoise has become a valued investment.

Artist:
Eleanor is a Navajo silversmith. She is the sister of the late Emma Lincoln. The two often collaborated on their designs.

My Philosophy:
I choose every piece of jewelry based on the value of the stone. Unlike most of the Turquoise on the market, the stone has to be high quality (not stabilized, not color treated and not reconstituted).
I also love jewelry with unique character and great craftsmanship. What this means is that you are getting jewelry that is a showstopper and not to mention a great investment.
